摘要 PURPOSE:To store a test piece into an instrument body and to measure quickly uric sugar, etc. in an instrument for measuring the uric sugar, etc. with the coloration reaction of the test piece by providing a test piece housing part together with an optical system, signal processing system and display system to said body. CONSTITUTION:The test piece 6 for the uric sugar, etc. is immersed in urine to effect coloration reaction. The coloration is detected by the light emitting diode 9 and photodiode 10 of the optical system. The detection signal is inputted to the signal processing system 3, by which the degree of coloration is detected. Said degree is displayed by the display system 4. The test piece housing part 20 is provided on, for example, the left side of the instrument body and the test piece 6 is housed therein. The degree of coloration is first detected in the non-using state of the test piece 6 and a blank calibration curve is determined, then the coloration reaction is effected with the test piece 6 immersed in the urine and the degree of coloration is displayed after said degree is corrected by the blank calibration curve. Since the test piece is always stored in the instrument body, the quick measurement is made possible and the instrument is made smaller in size and portable.
