摘要 The device enables the trajectory of a supersonically moving object to be reconstructed. It consists of an array of five main acoustic sensors 10 which supply a signal when they receive the leading edge of the compression wave created by the moving object. An additional sensor 18 is placed outside the line of main sensors. From the time differences between the signals received by the main sensors, a processing system 12 calculates the parameters of the hyperbola representing the arrival times of the wave at the successive points on a straight line near the line of the array as a function of the abscissa of this straight line. The equation of the hyperbola defines the required trajectory. By also using the signal supplied by the additional sensor 18, the processing unit determines the position of the trajectory around the straight line. <IMAGE>
