<p>PURPOSE:To prevent multifeed and breakage of sheets and to reliably feed the sheets one by one by providing a guide for intercepting the transmission of turning force of a roller on this side of a pressure roller in such a manner as to be close to the roller or form a narrow gap therebetween. CONSTITUTION:On starting transmission, a feed roller 5 is rotated, whereby sheet documents A stored in a tray 4 are transported toward a paper feed roller 7 and a pressure roller 8 through a slit 9. The documents are transferred along a plate 6, and the leading end portions thereof reach a guide 11. When the guide 11 is pressed to the roller 8 according to running operation, a roller 8 confronting with the roller 7 is caused to start rotating by rotation of the roller 7, so that the close adhesion of the guide 11 to the roller 8 is promoted to bring the forward end portion of the guide 11 close to a nip portion between the roller 7, 8. Accordingly, the turning force of the roller 8 is not transmitted to documents to be multifeed, so that only the lowermost document A directly contacting the roller 5 can be separated and fed out to be inserted between the rollers 7, 8 and reliably fed sheet by sheet into a facsimile apparatus body.</p> |
