PURPOSE:To omit an exclusive box for rejected notes and to reduce dispersion of notes within an automatic note handling device, by using in common an accumulation part for rejected notes in a payment mode, an accumulation pat for rejected notes in a close inspection mode and a note accumulation part in a close inspection mode respectively. CONSTITUTION:A designated number of notes P are extracted by extracting rollers 35 and 36 out of cashboxes 31 and 32 for Yen10,000 and Yen1,000 respectively by a payment request and discriminated at a note inspection pat 24. The correct note passes through the 1st SASHIMI accumulation part 41 at a high speed and arranged in a SASHIMI-like assortment at the 2nd SASHIMI accumulation pat 42 to be accumulated at a note insertion/discharge port 20. Then the correct note is delivered. While the output unable notes are sorted at the 2nd gate 51 and accumulated at the 1st accumulation part 26 through an area shown by an arrow head of a broken line to be stored into a cashbox 30 at the highest stage. In a close inspection mode notes P are taken out of cashboxes 31-33 respectively and discriminated at the pat 24 to be shifted to the cashbox 30 after a counting process. The rejected notes are sorted at the 1st gate 51 and arranged in the SASHIMI-like assortment. These rejected notes are accumulated temporarily at the pat 20 and then accumulated at the part 26. |
