The invention relates to a device for regulating the temperature of liquids such as it is used in laboratories for research and routine work, for materials testing, for testing electronic components and the like. Its purpose is to achieve precisely defined and reproducible temperatures and temperature-time profiles. Compared to the known devices, only a minimum of temperature-regulating fluid is to be required, resulting in a correspondingly lower energy demand, and it is to be possible to connect external consumers. This is achieved by arranging the discharge-suction pump and a heat exchanger incorporating the heater, the temperature sensor and the cooler outside the bath and connecting them with the bath to form a liquid circuit, and by providing at the bath an infeed connection and a return connection for liquid lines of external consumers.
