The movable system consists of two plate link chains (2, 3) which can be separately clamped to and released from the workpieces (1) which they surround, and which by means of articulated drive elements (4) are guided so that they move at a distance from one another, whereby the plate link chains (2, 3) are designed in accordance with a modular technique which can easily be adapted to the dimensions of the workpieces (1) by changing the number of link plates (5, 6); this technique also makes it possible for a console vehicle (10) to circulate on a track profile (26) which is adapted in shape to one of the link plate chains (2, 3), the vehicle being able to serve both as a work platform and as an equipment carrier, for example for sand-blasting guns. A control and locking system which is designed in accordance with the task to be performed and a power supply system enables the support system to be moved transversely to its main direction, by steps, by remote control, and to be easily adapted to changes in the contours of the workpieces. |
