The invention relates to a swinging blade for cutting through the adhesive bonds of glued-in window panes, especially of motor vehicles, by executing a high frequency oscillatory movement. In order to be able to adjust the depth of insertion of the swinging blade into the material to be cut, the invention provides for the distance between a bolt, which supports a stop body, and a part, of the essentially discoid stop body, which determines the depth of insertion to be adjustable and for the stop body to be lockable onto the bolt, preferably by means of a nut.
