A tyred wheel has the basic wheel, a stable annular rim attached to it, and an elastic inflatable tyre applied to the rim with the beads engaged in annular recesses on the inner side of the rim. The rim has outer curved flanks which fit the variable curvature flanks of the tyre; these rim flanks extend over part of the height of the tyre flanks; the rest of the rim has a continuous annular support face for the tyre between the flanks.
