PURPOSE:To simplify a switch operation and to obtain a picture transmitter with high sound quality, which is hard to have troubles, by switching a sound signal and a picture signal through user's operation or external operation in terms of reception and transmission of the picture and sound signals. CONSTITUTION:When a picture signal is transmitted through a telephone circuit 19, a signal monitor part 9 detects the start of the picture signal and informs a control part 10 of the start. Receiving the information, the control part 10 transmits a switching command to a signal changeover switch 8, and simultaneously transmits a write command to an R/W control part of a picture receiving part 6. With this switching command, the changeover switch 8 is switched to the picture side, and the received picture signal is transmitted to a picture receiving part 6 of a transmission/reception separator circuit 7, thereby decoding it to picture data. With the write command from the control part 10 the picture data is written in a VRAM, and converted into an analog signal by a D/A converter. When the signal monitor part 9 detects the termination of the picture signal, the changeover switch 8 is again switched to the sound side. |
