<p>A silver halide photographic photosensitive material containing in at least one of silver halide emulsion layers a 1H-pyrazolo ¨AD3,2-c¨BD-s-triazole type of magenta coupler substituted in 3-position by the group represented by general formula -R1-SO2R2, wherein R1 represents an alkylene group connecting the carbon atom at 3-position of the 1H-pyrazolo ¨AD3,2-c¨BD-s-triazole nucleus and -SO2R2 and containing 3 or more carbon atoms in the straight-chain moiety thereof, and R2 represents an aryl group. This material forms magenta dye images with excellent light fastness and shows excellent spectral absorption characteristics.</p> |
