In a distributor box (1) of the headbox device for a papermachine, a uniform pressure along the flow direction (F) of the fibre material suspension is achieved by providing, in the longitudinal direction of the distributor box (1), a plurality of branchlines (11, 12, 13, 14), through which a part of the suspension can be taken off or fed, so that deviations of the hydrostatic pressure of the suspension in the distributor box can be corrected. In this way, an improved uniformity of the paper produced across the web width can be achieved in the papermachine, and the distributor box can be manufactured simply and cheaply from flat sheet metal parts and has a higher mechanical stability even at relatively high pressures of the fibre material suspension. <IMAGE>
