A cosine signal waveshape equalizing circuit, in which signals read from a disk of an information recording/reproducing device, for instance an optical disk device, are fed to a delay circuit and a damping circuit, the outputs of which are connected to the two inputs of a differential amplifier. A switching circuit can alter a switching constant of the delay circuit and/or of the damping circuit, the switching circuit being controlled by a control means which generates a control signal corresponding to a track region on the basis of that track address which is calculated from the position of rest in which the information recording/reproducing device starts, and according to the following extent of movement and the direction of the pick-up. The signal waveshape equalization is consequently carried out optimally, irrespective of the reproducing position of the pick-up.
