A vertically movable partition curtain for halls contains two curtain webs which are anchored along their upper edge under the hall ceiling and which are interconnected by a large number of transverse cords. For drawing up, vertically extending pull belts run between the curtain webs, which belts are connected with their lower end on the lower edge of the curtain webs and the upper end of which is anchored on a respectively associated winding-up roll. By means of a drive device, the winding-up rolls can be set in rotation. In order to avoid an undulating course of the curtain lower edge, for example as a result of different length of the belts, means are assigned to each winding-up roll, by means of which a respective winding-up roll can be set in rotation or stopped independently of the other. Also assigned to each winding-up roll is a limit switch device, by means of which, on reaching the upper or the lower end position of the associated pull belt, the means assigned to the corresponding winding-up roll can be actuated with a stopping effect.
