PURPOSE:To stabilize the quantity of frictional electrostatic charge among toner particles, etc. and to make uniform the distribution of the quantity of frictional electrostatic charge by compounding the metallic complex of the 8-oxyquinoline expressed by the specific formula with a developer by an external or internal addition method. CONSTITUTION:A developer for electrostatic charge development is obtd. by adding about 0.1-50pts.wt., more preferably 1-20pts.wt. the compd. expressed by the formula (where M denotes the metal selected from Co, Cu, Zn, Fe and Cr and R1-R6 denote H or lower alkyl group) to about 100pts.wt. binder resin (the internal addition method). The developer is obtd. by compounding about 0.01-40pts.wt. the compd. expressed by the formula to about 100pts.wt. toner as another method (external addition method). Pigments and dyes such as carbon black, iron black, phthalocyanine blue and ultramarine blue may be added to the toner. |
