PURPOSE:To enable the device for printer to be miniaturized, requiring no transmitting mechanism and no converting mechanism as driving force by driving directly a printing head by the ultrasonic wave motor provided with piezoelectric elements. CONSTITUTION:The printing head 10 (10a-10c) of the small electronic clock with a printer is moved by an ultrasonic wave motor 24. This motor is composed of the guide rail 28 holding movably the printing head 10 and two piezoelectric elements 29, 30 fitted to the under-surface of said guide rail 28. The head supporting member 10a straddles over the upper part of the guide rail 28, and its lower is fixed into a fixing groove 28a. When the vibration with phase difference is given to the guide rail 28 by two piezoelectric elements 29, 30, the head is moved. |
