PURPOSE:To simplify the control device by detecting the frosting of the outside unit heat exchanger by a single temperature sensor disposed in the outside unit heat exchanger when the detected temperature by the temperature sensor became falls in the predetermined condition after masking the defrosting operation for a certain duration by a timer. CONSTITUTION:When the detected temperature by a temperature sensor 6 became below a certain level after masking the defrosting operation for a certain duration by a timer, or when the range of change in the detected temperature by the temperature sensor 6 became above a certain level, or when the operation has been continued for a certain duration while the detected temperature by the temperature sensor 6 remained below a certain level, the detection is made of the frosting of the outside unit heat exchanger. For instance, the temperature T of the outside unit heat exchanger 5 as detected by the temperature sensor 6 is inputted. When the operation is continued for 3hr under the condition of 'T<=-10', or when 'T<=-19' after masking for 20min from the start of the heating operation, or when the condition of '6min under T<=-1' is detected three times consecutively, the flow direction of refrigerant is changed to perform the defrosting operation. |
