<p>Metal recovery equipment for scrap material from vehicles includes a hopper with a belt conveyor sloping upwards from its base, discharging into a set of three grinding drums. The mesh size increases from section to section, and the coarse section discharges onto a second conveyor (4) sloping upwards to a washing drum (5). The washing drum has a parallel part between two tapered sections (6,7). The first section (6) has blades (8) to guide the heavier parts inwards, and the parallel part has separator vanes (9) in sets for the lighter parts. A tube (17) through the discharge end of the washing drum discharges washing liquid into the middle region, to travel in the opposite direction to the travel of the material, and forming part of closed liquid flow circuit.</p> |
