PURPOSE:To enable an unnecessary heat exchange to be suppressed, by providing a deflective heat transmitting means such that the heat transmitting action between working fluid and a heat transfer path relatively differs along a flow direction of the working fluid, in the case of a heat exchanger used for a stirling engine or the like. CONSTITUTION:A Stirling engine provides a high temperature side heat exchanger 1 having a combustion chamber 7 formed in the top part of an expansion cylinder 17. And this heat exchanger 1 has also a plurality of heat exchanger tubes 13 contained in the combustion chamber 7. The heat exchanger respectively connects one end of each heat exchanger tube 13 with the expansion cylinder 17 and the other end with a regenerator 35. The other side of this regenerator 35 connects one end of a plurality of heat exchanger tubes 33 in a low temperature side heat exchanger 3, while the other end is connected with a compression cylinder 39. Here each heat exchanger tube 13, 33 forms in its internal surface a plurality of protrusive strips 25, 43 in the peripheral direction being spaced in the axial direction. A deflective heat transmitting means is provided such that each protrusive strip 25, 43 is formed in a sloped shape gradually decreasing its height in a flow direction of working fluid to a side of the cylinder 17, 39. |
