TENSION CONTROL METHOD FOR LONG MATERIALS IN ACCUMULATOR

PURPOSE:To prevent slack of a long material by controlling the span between a moving wheel and fixed wheel with location sensors. CONSTITUTION:The span between a moving wheel 7 and a fixed wheel 8 is sensed by location sensors 10-13 for the moving wheel 7, and a tensing device 9 is worked in accordance with the sensed value so as to apply an appropriate tension to the moving wheel 7. Thus a long material loaded over these moving and fixed wheels is maintained in the state with no slack, so that the accumulator can be held in stable and normal operating condition and eventual slack be eliminated automatically.
