PURPOSE:To correct the unbalance of a hollow high speed rotating body with good accuracy and ease, by mounting the 2nd arm freely bendably to the forward end of the 1st arm and using a device attracting a small metallic foil piece to the forward end of the 2nd arm and a device provided with a torch for spot welding. CONSTITUTION:The air in an evacuation pipe 8 is evacuated to develop negative pressure therein to attract a small metallic foil piece to a head 6. An actuator 10 is operated to position the 2nd arm straightforward to the arm 1, and to extend and move the arm 1 through the opening of a rotating body up to a prescribed position. The actuator 10 is then operated to bend the arm 2 with respect to the arm 1, and to move the arm 1 so as to bring the heat 6 in press contact with the inside circumferential surface of the rotating body. Electricity is conducted to a torch 3 to accomplish spot welding. Upon ending of the welding, the evacuation through the pipe 8 is stopped, and the arm 1 is drawn out of the inside of the rotating body in the sequence reverse from the insertion, whereby the fixing of the small metallic foil piece is completed and the unbalance of the rotating body is corrected. |
