The present invention is concerned with catalyst mixtures consisting of two catalysts, characterized in that one is capable of catalysing the conversion of a H2/CO mixture into oxygen-containing organic compounds, and the other is a crystalline iron/boron silicate which, after one hour's calcination in air at 500 DEG C, has the following properties. a) an X-ray powder diffraction pattern in which the strongest lines are the four lines mentioned in Table A, and Table A d( ANGSTROM ) 11.1 +/- 0.2 10.0 +/- 0.2 3.84 +/- 0.07 3.72 +/- 0.06 b) in the formula which represents the composition of the silicate, expressed in moles of the oxides, the SiO2/Fe2O3 ratio is 20-2000, the SiO2/B2O3 molar ratio 50-5000 and the Fe2O3/B2O3 molar ratio higher than 1.0. Said catalyst mixtures show higher aromatics selectivity in the preparation of hydrocarbon mixtures from H2/CO mixtures than such a mixture comprising an iron silicate instead of the above iron/boron silicates. |
