MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HYGIENIC OF HYGIENIC POLYESTER FIBER

Hygienic polyester fiber preventing micro-organism propagation and bad odor is manufactured from polyester fiber comprising 80 mol% of ethylene terephthalate, 2 -10 mol.% of 5-sulfoisophthal ate alkali salt or its ester derivative, and glycol. The process involves treating the fiber with an aqueous solution containing copper or silver salt. The loaded amount of copper ions or silver ions is more than 0.1 ml equiv. wt./g fiber.
