PURPOSE:To enable the accurate measurement of absolute humidity, by flowing air in a measuring atmosphere and diluting air with predetermined absolute humidity into a measuring container having an exhaust port in a predetermined ratio. CONSTITUTION:Air in a measuring atmosphere 25 and diluting air with predetermined absolute humidity (e.g., dry air with humidity of zero supplied from a dry air source 19) are flowed into a measuring container 12 having an exhaust port 13 in a predetermined ratio. A dilution degree is determined by the flow amount of diluting air and the shape of a dilution apparatus 8 but, because the structure of the apparatus 8 is constant, determined by the flow amount of diluting air. A humidity sensor 14 is arranged in the measuring container 12 and the absolute humidity in the measuring container 12 is measured to make it possible to calculate the absolute humidity in the measuring atmosphere by the operation based on the absolute humidity of diluting air. By this method, even when the absolute humidity in the measuring atmosphere is high, absolute humidity can be measured accurately. |
