PURPOSE:To control temperature within a fuel cell by inserting heat conductive, heat sensitive, thin pieces into a cell, and exposing the left of the thin piece outside the cell as a heat radiation fin, and making the heat radiation fin to stand vertically or to incline by shape change of bimetal. CONSTITUTION:Heat conductive, heat sensitive, flexible graphite thin pieces are inserted into cell frames of a liquid fuel cell, and the left of each of thin pieces is exposed outside the cell to form a heat radiation fin 2. Anolyte in a tank 3 is circulated with a pump 4, and exhausted from a reservoir 5. Heat sensitive bimetal 6 is arranged in the reservoir 5 and connected to projections between the heat radiation fins 2 with a metal wire 8. The heat radiation fins 2 are made to vertically stand or to incline by deformation of the bimetal 6 caused by temperature change of the anolyte to control flow rate of wing from a fan 9. Temperature within the cell is simply controlled without using of a cooling unit. |
