This invention discloses an optical information processor which comprises a recording medium equipped with mirror areas disposed equidistantly inside an information track recorded by a light beam. A light detector receives diffracted light from the information track by the light beam. A first signal detector differentially processes the signals from the light detector and generates a tracking signal for tracking the information track. A second signal detector detects the signal from the mirror areas of the tracking signal. As a result any offset in the tracking signal is removed by use of the signal from the second signal detector.
