<p>This method for connecting branch circuits to cores of a live electrical cable provides that the contact pieces are individually placed in position, separated by a clamping ring in a common predetermined cable cross section plane, whereby the branch circuits are connected to the contact pieces before or afterward. The clamping ring is then changed into a position which encloses the contact pieces and during tightening of the terminals the cable cores are pressed against the contact pieces which touch the cable cores, whereby the blades or similar devices of the contact pieces penetrate the core insulation and physical contact with the cable is established. The branch terminal in this instance consists of separate contact pieces with contact feet, which have contact blades or similar arrangements, which can be inserted into a dual trough-like spacer piece placed between the cable cores. The two-piece clamping ring envelops the set of contact pieces and exerts pressure via pressure pieces on the cable cores during the process of tightening the tension bolts, with the cable cores consequently being pressed against the contact blades of the contact feet.</p> |
