摘要 PURPOSE:To contrive to reduce the number of repetitive operation to each main ampli fier by a method wherein a pair of a polariscope and a 90 degree-polarizing rotator are provided on the incident and outgoing sides of each of (n) pieces of main amplifiers constituting (n) pieces of beam trains and the rotators are made to act in order in the prescribed timing. CONSTITUTION:When a rotator R4-1 is out of operation, the output of a preamplifier 2 transmits a polariscope 6-1, is light-amplified 3-1 and is emited via a D7-1 and an R5-1. When the polarizing orientation of the R4-1 is made to rotate at 90 degrees by the exciting pulse of an operation control part 8, the outgoing light of the R4-1 is reflected by the D6-1, passes through a non-operating R4-2, is reflected by a D6-2, is light-amplified 3-2 and is supplied to an R5-1 via a D7-2, an R5-2 and a D7-1. At this time, when the R5-1 is out of operation, the outgoing light of the preamplifier 2 and a laser beam, whose polarizing orientation is being rotated at 90 degrees, are emitted. When a sequence operation is made to perform in the prescribed timing in a combination of the R4 and the D6 and a combination of the R5 and the D7 in such a way, the heat load to each main amplifier 3 is significantly reduced and the thermal strain of the outgoing laser beam is decreased. As a result, a high-output and high-respetive operation laser can be obtained.
