PURPOSE:To prevent all of gate turn-off thyristors (GTO) from being successively destroyed when one of the GTO is destroyed, by inserting resistors respectively between the output end of a power transformer and sequential conversion circuits. CONSTITUTION:The output of a gate pulse amplifier power transformer 1 is directed respectively to sequential conversion circuits 2, 3 for input, and each output of the sequential conversion circuits 2, 3 is directed respectively to gate pulse amplifiers 4, 5 for input. And the output end of a gate control circuit 8 is connected respectively to the gate pulse amplifiers 4, 5 and GTO 6, 7 are alternately turned on and turned off by a control signal for output. Then, resistors 9-14 are arranged on the secondary side of the power transformer 1. As a result, even if a power source section of one of the gate pulse amplifiers is short-circuited, flowing short-circuited current is limited by the arranged resistors and the influence on other sections can be minimized. |
