A novel class of polymeric compounds containing piperidine radicals of the formula <IMAGE> in which X is a divalent radical selected from the group comprising <IMAGE> is described. The novel compounds are light stabilizers, heat stabilizers and oxidation stabilizers for synthetic polymers and are particularly effective in polyolefine films, fibres and tapes.
