A fixture for connecting two beams 1, 2 or the like to each other, for example for forming a roof truss, utilizes the movement between the beams in order to obtain a self-locking effect, caused by the fact that the beams, when loaded, lock their connection by rotating. The fixture comprises two sections 3a, 3b for receiving the respective beam 1, 2, and a coupling section which connects the beam-receiving sections so that the desired self-locking is obtained. In a preferred embodiment, at least one beam-receiving section is provided with friction-enhancing projections 7, 12, in particular spiked joint fasteners 7, which, when loaded, are designed to be pressed against the upper and/or lower side of the corresponding beam. <IMAGE> |
