<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the sufficient quantity of transmitted light at the time of turning-on of shutter by constituting two electrodes of two layers of a transparent conductive film and a metallic conductive film and providing a shutter opening in the metallic conductive film. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal shutter array of the liquid crystal printer head consists of a common electrode substrate 15, a signal electrode substrate 16, transparent 18, 20 made of transparent conductive film of ITO, metallic conductive films 19, 21 made of chromium and a liquid crystal layer 17, and shutter openings A, A' are opened in the metallic conductive films 19, 21. In an equivalent circuit of the liquid crystal printer head, reverse electric signals are always applied to common electrodes C,C', and controlling signals are applied to the signal electrode S1 to make shutter opening,s A,A' on/off. For characteristic of turning-on of shutter (when transparent), it is most desirable that upper and lower signals become the same phase perfectly. Accordingly, by making the common electrodes and signal electrode two-layer structure of a transparent conductive film and a metallic conductive film to lower resistance value, it becomes possible to increase the quantity of transmitted light at the time of turning-on of shutter.</p> |
