<p>NEW MATERIAL:Rat parathyroid hormone (r-PTH) of the formula and its radioactive derivative labelled with I<125>. USE:Remedy for hypoparathyroidism and labelled reagent for function assay of parathyroid gland. PREPARATION:For example, in accordance with the aminoacid sequence of this peptide, a C-terminal aminoacid having protected amino and side-chain functional groups of the formula: Boc-Tyr(Bzl-Cl2)-OH (Boc is t-butyloxycarbonyl; Bzl-Cl2 is 2,6-dichlorobenzyl) is converted into its activate ester, then ammonia gas is added to give a compound of the formula: Boc-Tyr(Bzl-Cl2)-NH2. Then, the amino-protecting group is removed, then the next amino-protected aminoacid is allowed to react therewith. These operations are repeated, finally protecting groups are eliminated to give the peptide of the formula.</p> |
