Tubular reinforced plastics structure - of moulded resin bonded fibre

An assembly is formed by winding fibreglass strands on a core which might be collapsible or inflatable or placing fibreglass matting or fabrics on it and the assembly is placed in a tubular vertically disposed mould, with an annular space between the assembly and the inner wall of the mould. Polyester, epoxy resin is poured into the mould to fill the annular space, and the structure is cured in the mould in a known way, and the elongated structure is removed from the mould and the core.
