PURPOSE:To prevent surplus weight load or vibration from being applied to a shuttle mechanism part, by a construction wherein a fixed frame is provided with fans through expandable bellows joints, and the frame is formed in a hermetically sealed construction having an air intake port equipped with a dust- catching filter. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of dot printing hammer units 2 are provided on the fixed frame 1, the small-type fans 21 with air flow discharging ports directed outward are connected respectively to both sides of the frame 1 through the expandable bellows joint 31, and the air intake port 23 equipped with the dust- catching filter 24 is provided at a side face opposite to the hammer units 2 to provide the frame 1 with the hermetically sealed construction. In order that the fans 21 do not apply surplus weight load or vibration to the shuttle mechanism part 4, the fans 21 are provided at appropriate places other than the shuttle mechanism part 4. Accordingly, an oscillating motion of the shuttle mechanism part 4 is not hindered, and heat-radiating fins 3 for the hammer units 2 are efficiently and forcibly cooled by a clean air flow obtained through dust removal. |
