PURPOSE:To make the thickness of a driver thinner, the depth shorter and the device compact by providing oppositely a flat-type linear pulse motor and a magnetic head at one side of a floppy disk and a single magnetic head at the other side and linking both magnetic heads with a steel belt. CONSTITUTION:A floppy disk 4 is imcorporated in a diskette 2. The magnetic head 7 of a flat-type linear pulse motor 5 and a slidable single magnetic head 8 are oppositely provided at the upper and lower surface of the floppy disk 4. The magnetic head 7 at the side of the linear pulse motor 5 is linked to a single magnetic head 8 with a steel belt 12 equipped with a guide roll 11. Simultaneously a spring 13 is spread between a head base 6 and a projection 1c for covering the lower surface of the upper one of the front part of a casing 1, and a slight tensile force is energized with respect to the steel belt 12 without fail. Non-magnetic adapter plate 20 is slidably inserted between guide grooves 17 and 17 of guide plates 18 and 18, thereby constituting the overall driver in a thin type. |
