STRESS RELIEF WORKING OF CIRCULAR PLATE PART OF FORMING ARTICLE

PURPOSE:To relieve surely the plane stress of a circular plate part by transferring in radial direction with pressing a presser roller to a circular plate part by rotating forming article and also by making a spinning work along the recessed part which is provided on the bearing face of a mandrel. CONSTITUTION:The circular plate part 2 of a forming article 1 is abutted to the bearing face 17 of a mandrel 13 and fixed with pressure to the bearing face 17 by a fitting member 14. A presser roller 20 is then abutted to the circular plate part 2 with rotating the forming article 1 together with a rotary main shaft 11 and the roller 20 is transferred with being pressed in the radial direction of the circular plate part 2, preferably toward the center from the outer periphery. In this case a recess 18 to correct the spring-back of the circular plate part 2 is to be provided on the bearing face 17 and the circular plate part 2 is subjected to a spinning work along the recess 18 thereof. The plane stress remaining on the circular plate part of the forming article is thus removed certainly.
