PURPOSE:To improve the pressure fixability of a microencapsulated toner and to prevent offset to a pressing roller by graft-polymerizing a vinyl monomer on liq. polybutadiene or the like and incorporating the resulting polymer into the core material. CONSTITUTION:A vinyl monomer such as lauryl methacrylate is graftpolymerized on a stock polymer such as liq. polybutadiene, a styrenebutadiene copolymer or unsatd. polyester. During the polymn., a colorant is added, or magnetic powder of magnetite or the like is further added as required. The resulting polymer is incorporated into a core material, and this core material is coated with a hard resin for outer walls such as epoxy resin, epoxy-urea resin or polyurethane resin to obtain a capsulated toner. Since the core material contains the grafted vinyl resin, the offset resistance and pressure fixability of the tober can be improved. |
