<p>Casings for raw and cooking sausage consists of a synthetic fibre material which is converted into a spun fleece. Specif. the fibres are long and may be oriented or unoriented. The synthetic material is a polyester, polyamide, polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC a PVC/PVDC copolymer or a cellulose pdt. The fleece is stabilised with a synthetic resin pref. a lacquer or dispersion based on PVC/PVDC copolymer, acrylates, polyurethanes or caseinates. The casing is produced by forming a sheet of the fleece to a tube on a mandrel, and sealing the overlapping edges by welding or a hor melt adhesive. The casings have a high mechanical strength good moisture permeability and good elasticity.</p> |
