Device making it possible to make land vehicles drive on a track or surface different from the track or surface for which they have been designed. The device according to the invention comprises trolleys on which the vehicles are loaded. These trolleys are characterised in that they carry the vehicles by the wheels, the latter each being in direct contact with two wheels of the trolleys which makes it possible to relieve the load per wheel applied to the ground or to the track. By this wheel-wheel contact the vehicles transmit to the trolley the braking effects and the traction force. The device, for example, makes it possible to make rail vehicles drive on a track with a gauge less than that for which they have been designed. The wheel of the trolley is characterised successively from the inside towards the outside by a guide wheel flange 1, a strip 2 for rolling on the rail, a groove 3 allowing the passage of the wheel flange 5 of the wheel of the vehicle to be transported, a band for rolling 4 supporting the band for rolling 7 of the wheel of the vehicle to be transported. The outer rim 6 of the groove 3 serves to guide the wheel of the vehicle and to prevent derailments of it by forming a lateral bearing surface for the wheel flange 5 of the wheel of the vehicle to be transported. <IMAGE>
