The subject of the invention is improvements to gas boilers with parallel flow comprising a rose and a flame retention baffle (hub). A boiler 1 according to the invention comprises an axial liquid or gaseous fuel injection pipe 3. It comprises an internal tube 5 which surrounds the axial pipe 3 and the boiler nose 4 and which delimits with an external ferrule 2 an annular duct 6 in which the combustion air circulates. It comprises a flame retention baffle (hub) 7 and a rose 10 composed of fins 11 situated through the annular duct 6. It comprises gas nozzles 12 which are disposed through the rose 10, in proximity to the periphery of the baffle (hub) 7. One application is the construction of mixed fuel oil and gas boilers, which may run on gas alone with air excesses up to 800%. <IMAGE>
