The present invention relates to an inductive sensor apparatus for measuring displacement or force. This apparatus is characterised in that the oscillator 2 is of the digital type and comprises, in cascade, a clock 8, a threshold address counter 9, a memory 11 and a digital/analog converter 12 which is connected, via at least one amplifier 3, 4, 5, to the input of the inductive sensor 1, and the output circuit 6 comprises a lock-in sampler 16 connected to a sampling pulse generator 19 which is itself connected to the digital oscillator 2 so as to emit a sampling pulse applied to the lock-in sampler 16 synchronously with the peaks or some peaks of the sinusoidal signal emitted by the digital oscillator 2. <IMAGE>
