Crash helmet with two=part chin strap

The crash helmet has a chin strap comprising two parts fixed to the helmet and connected together by a lock whose detachable clasp parts are fixed to the free ends of the strap parts. One of the straps is longitudinally adjustable and the straps have on their inside a padded strip. The padded strip of the length-adjustable strap is attached to the clasp part connected to same and has a resiliently expanding section. The padded strip of the other strap part is fixed to its clasp part and when the strap is done up the two padded strips abut each other.
