The invention relates to an apparatus for producing rissoles, meatballs or the like in meat-processing enterprises, food production installations etc. The aim is to reduce the outlay involved in production of rissoles or the like and to increase productivity and quality. The object is to produce relatively large quantities of moulded foodstuffs, especially in balls but also in other shapes, by means of a moulding apparatus. The moulding apparatus should have a simple structure and the outlay on cleaning should be small. According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the mould of the moulding device comprises three parts, at least two of which are movably guided in a carriage. The filling nozzle is closed by displacement of the movable parts of the mould by means of an appropriate drive and the moulded part is released. It falls onto a plate with the assistance of the ejector. <IMAGE>
