The storage tank has a cold water conduit and a hot water conduit (3,2), both conduits (2,3) being connected via respective branch ducts (4,5) to an external heat exchanger (6), with which a thermostat (9) is associated, a circulating pump (7) being arranged in the branch duct (4) leading to the hot water conduit (2). A measuring device (12,10) which detects and integrates the integrated dispensed water is provided outside the storage container (1), and permits a selectable dispensed quantity. The measuring device is equipped with a switch device which initiates the reheating of the storage tank contents after the end of each loading process and the subsequent withdrawal of storage tank water, as soon as the selected dispensed quantity has flowed through the water storage tank. <IMAGE>
