Photosensitive material comprising a support, the linear distortion of which is not >0.005%, on which is coated a gelatine sub-layer followed by a chromate/gelatin layer. The support of microrugosity value is not >0.01 mu is pref. polyester, polystyrene acetyle cellulose. The specified photosensitive compsn. is gelatine (130-140 g.), pigment (18-22 g.), soap (12-25 g.), glycerol (20-25 g.), ethanol, (30-35 g.), ammonium chromate (5-6g.), tartaric or citric acid (1.5-3 g.) and tartrazine (0.6 g.). Paper as a support is subject to distortion and also it is difficult to obtain a uniform coating.
