PURPOSE:To prevent toner clogging due to foreign matters and to prevent the degradation of image quality such as white omission or the like even in case of long period use, by providing a wire bar which is close to a developing roll and is rotated in the same direction as the roll and an auxiliary bar which trims the peripheral surface of the roll. CONSTITUTION:A wire bar 9 where a wire 11 is wound spirally around a round bar 10 is provided in the vicinity of a developing roll 3, and a gap C between them is set to a value larger than 0.1mm. and smaller than a main gap A, and an auxiliary trimming bar 12 is provided above the bar 9, and a gap B between them is set to a value larger than 0.1mm. and smaller than the main gap A. The gap A between the developing roll 3 and a main trimming bar 6 is set to a value equal to the diameter of the wire 11 or larger than 1/5 of this diameter. The toner is allowed to pass three gaps, and toner clogging due to mixed foreign matters in a developing machine is prevented, and the toner on the roll 3 is leveled by the spiral wire, and foreign matters are carried in the direction of the shaft ends by its auger action, and thus, the degradation of image quality such as white omission or the like is prevented even in case of long period use. |
