The invention relates to a maize-harvesting attachment for a combine harvester, with drawing-in devices for the crop plants, which have drawing-in gaps between drawing-in rollers and part casings for pulling through the crop plants as well as drawing-in chains, the drawing-in devices being arranged so as to work in the direction of travel of the combine harvester, consisting of individual shaped sheet-metal parts screwed to one another, and having drawing-in safety devices against the drawing-in of foreign bodies. The part casings are made essentially plane in their upper part, with a bend towards the outside, whilst the lower part is bent inwards according to the outer radius of the drawing-in roller. The drawing-in devices have drawing-in safety devices in the form of chain over-run wheels which are designed to act directly on the drawing-in chains.
