Laminated plastic ski - with lightweight polymethylacrylimide foam core and high tensile plastic surface layers

The bonding surfaces between the foam core and its upper and lower surface layers are effectively increased in surface area by a rib and groove profiling, the longitudinal components of the ribs and grooves being greater than the components running perpendicularly to the ski. Pref. the ribs on the surface layer projecting into complementary grooves on the core are spaced further apart than the width of the rib. The high tensile layers are fibreglass reinforced plastic.
