A plug for a coaxial cable (20), having an insulating bush (10), a metallic plug pin (14) and a sheet-metal sheath (30). A section of the screen mesh (22), which is inverted backwards, of the stripped coaxial cable (20) is inserted into the hole in the insulating bush (10), the coaxial inner conductor (23) being clamped in between the inner wall of a hole section (13) of the insulating bush (10) and the plug pin (14). The section of the screen mesh (22) which is bent backwards is held on the coaxial cable (20) by a clamping section (33) of the sheet-metal sheath (30).
<??>During deforming of the sheet-metal sheath (30) with its three clamping sections (31, 32, 33), permanent connections are at the same time produced between the coaxial cable (20) and the plug, between the bent section of the screen mesh (22) and the sheet-metal sheath (30), and between the coaxial inner conductor (23) and the plug pin (14).
