<p>PURPOSE:To provide high torque in low speed rotation of an engine and hold low negative pressure and exhaust temperature of the engine in high speed rotation by providing a valve in only one of two exhaust pipes connecting halved inlets separately to an exhaust manifold. CONSTITUTION:In the low speed rotation of an engine, a valve 8 is closed and exhaust gas flows from only a turbine scroll 3 through an exhaust pipe 6 into a turbine 1. In the high speed rotation of the engine, the valve 8 is opened and the exhaust gas flows from the turbine scrolls 3, 4 through the exhaust pipes 6, 7 into the turbine.</p> |
